Women in the clinic:
Hispanic: 1
Black: 1
White: 5 + 1 for pregnancy testing only
Asian: 1
We got there around 6:30 am. The weather delayed or kept some away, both our regulars and of those who were scheduled for abortion. I imagine next week will be busy to catch up. The clinic opened for its grisly business of wrecking lives in the name of choice about 7 am. Mary Smith was the medical school graduate that accepted money in exchange for suctioning the arms and legs off of children developing in the womb.
There were no saves and no turn aways.
Blake and Dan counseled.
We tried to counsel with everyone. One husband did talk with us. He was not rude, though his mind was full of nonsense: He said there was no God. The woman who was injured in September was a casualty of taking a risk and this was just like war. There is more risk in getting on the highway than in having an abortion. His wife was told she could die if she carried the baby to term. He already had four children. Scientists have proved Evolution. We were just "predators". God does not exist. Man wrote the Bible. If God were to communicate anything to Man it would not be in a language that Man could understand. God created Evolution and that's how we got here.
We had prayer time throughout the morning. Joe from University of Dallas and his group, "Crusaders for Life" said he and his college group would like to join us in group prayer. He is eager to join in prayer each Saturday.
An fairly strange individual came up. John LNU (Last Name Unknown). WM, mid-30s, 6'3", 180 lbs, small green PU truck. He said he heard about this at the library, but when asked he could not recall the name of his church. He wanted to know what we did. I talked with him. He left after 5 minutes because it was cold.
Sincerely,
Bret Coody
